The territory is facing different challenges:
The program ‘Regenerative Agriculture on Impluviums’ consists of providing support to farms located in French watersheds to convert to regenerative agriculture to make farming more sustainable and to preserve critical water resources.
After promising results in phase 1 of the project (2019 – 2022) the aim for phase 2 (2023 – 2026) is to maximize the surface area committed to regenerative and protective agriculture practices, while maintaining the virtuous practices implemented in phase 1.
The project provides a combination of audits, training, financial and technical support, and tools to help farmers improve fertilizing methods, limit the use of pesticides, preserve soil health and biodiversity, and allow them to better value their products, protect their health, and build more resilient businesses.
